Jaya Bremer

Jaya Bremer is a Canadian dream-pop artist based in Victoria, BC. Bremer’s signature sound combines elements of soft electronic, dream-pop and indie r&b. Her music is a hypnotic blend of lyrical sincerity, characterized by lush vocal harmonies, and minimalist beats.

Jaya has featured at the TD Victoria International Jazz Festival, Phillips Backyard Weekender and the Harbour Blues n’ Roots Festival in Victoria. She was named a regional Semi-Finalist in CBC Searchlight 2017, the prestigious search for Canada’s next breakthrough act.

Her sound has been honed from a decade plus of performing in and managing a variety of musical acts - indie-rock band Wise Child. In 2018 Jaya was selected to attend the Banff Centre’s Singer Songwriter Residency, shifting focus fully onto launching her self-titled solo project.

Following the Banff Centre, Bremer went on to release four singles and two music videos and tour her debut solo album “Everybody’s Getting Married” released in 2020. The record received praise from local and international audiences, with Rocktographers describing it as “atmospheric, introspective and filled with hidden details that can only truly be appreciated with headphones on.”

Jaya’s upcoming sophomore album “Stay Tender” (Nov 1, 2024) showcases a distinct and artful exploration into the varying shades that comprise her unique style. The record is intimate yet danceable, ambient yet striking. It is the perfect example of Bremer’s growth as an artist.
