Maita Waters

Maita Waters is a Victoria based folk singer and songwriter. She is the front woman of soul-folk band Waters, and first made her name in indie-folk band Maitarra. Maita's songwriting has roots in story telling but with nuanced lyricism, interlaced with the heaviness of the female perspective in previously male-dominated storylines. Drawing from musicians like Leonard Cohen, Frazey Ford and Adrianne Lenker, Maitas sound is moody, warm, but above all, honest.
