Vancouver’s piano man Matthew Presidente is an innovative rock/pop songwriter whose piano-driven sound and high-energy performances ignite every stage - solo or with his band. Praised by Xtra Magazine as “one of the best singer/songwriters in our LGBT scene,” Matthew went full-time in music in 2022 and hasn’t looked back. He’s released new music, earned a Creative BC Career Development grant, and played over 100 shows in 2025 at venues like The Fox, The Rickshaw, and Guilt & Co. Known for his emotional, interactive live shows, he’s also a standout on Pride stages across BC and Alberta and has performed opening sets for the likes of Jane Siberry and Bif Naked. His 2025 album Chosen Sun, produced by Matt Roach (RainCity Recorders), explores transformation, queer resilience, and empowerment—featuring singles “Rainbow Tree” and “The Rhythm,” which surpassed 100k streams in their first month.
