softhead performs warm, multi-layered songs that feel like stones floating down a river, and that might feel meditative except you never know when you're gonna hit the rapids. Vallen, Sophia and Hugo's songs feature dramatic changes, unusual song structures and irregular time signatures. Covering familial love, desired and subsequently regretted loneliness, and good old-fashioned bewilderment. The songs range from the conversational to the abstract, narrow to wide, silly to serious. softhead released A Plateau/An Animal in February 2026, and have an ep titled Earthly Promise due for release in 2027.
