About the show

Come to Fort Tectoria on August 16th, 7:30 PM for a fun night of folk, rock, and pop music, dressed up in a costume of your choosing!

Charis Tazumi is a singer-songwriter based out of Victoria B.C, who shares her most heartfelt thoughts through wistful instrumentations and compelling lyricism. She is inspired by a blend of folk, pop, indie, alternative and RnB styles, all contributing to her unique and charming sound. Charis' debut album "In Subtle Ways" came out in May 2024. The project captures the subtle yet transformative moments of her life, weaving in narratives of delightful over imagination, the sweetness of starting a life with someone, and the feeling of finally waking up.

Thistle is a recording and performing project helmed by brothers Aidan and Declan McLennan. Their music can be described as a fusion of folk-rock and blues based in Victoria, BC. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, much of their sound has been sculpted by the natural beauty surrounding them. Their dad, an Ontario native, led a Celtic rock band of the same name years ago, a legacy they hope to honor in the present day with Thistle. Being University students, their time is often split between academics and their various passions. However, they always find time to create together and write music that is meaningful to them. Thistle's debut album was released on June 6th, 2025, and is available on all streaming platforms.

Rhys Fleming is a singer-songwriter based in Victoria, BC, who has recently been expanding her musical endeavours. Coming from the Fraser valley she has found inspiration from the music scenes on the island. She pulls inspiration from artists like Alice Phoebe Lou, Faye Webster, and old folk rock.
