If you aren't familiar with the bands on this list, then you're in for a night of top tier grunge/alternative/shoegaze. But for those in the know, this night holds greater significance. The background story is that each band made a splash in the Vancouver scene at one time or another, and is now making a return of sorts. 

Innerouter, now hailing from Calgary and blending a heavy melancholic sound straight from the mid 90s, was known in the Vancouver scene as Get Real. Composed of members from other notable Vancouver bands such as Pride Tiger and Suzuki Jacuzzi, they are now returning to their birth city for the first time in a decade. You'll hear influences of HUM, Unwound, Smashing Pumpkins.

Brutal Poodle is arguably the most familiar name on this list. Featuring members of Slow Learners, Apollo Ghosts and Jock Tears, they rip a satisfying brand of grunge alternative with melodic hooks that stay in your head for days. Think Dinosaur Jr. meets early Weezer. They've been out of commission for a while, and this will be their first show back from that break.

For those who knew about them, Johnny Wrath was a diamond in the rough and poised to break out just as the pandemic hit. Their sound is also very mid 90s, reminiscent of Alice on Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, but crafting an unmistakable personality of their own. We're big fans, and beyond excited for their first show back since the world changed.
