Three Victoria bands take over The Phoenix Bar on Saturday, November 7 for a night of loud guitars, heavy riffs, rock and punk energy. Electric Druids bring the weight of a seasoned power trio. Originally formed in Swansea, UK and now based in Victoria, the band blends progressive hard rock, grunge and riff-heavy alternative rock. Kerrang! once described their sound as somewhere “between Rush and Soundgarden,” and they’ve become regulars on stages around Vancouver Island. War Eyes are a Victoria rock & roll band pulling from punk, hard rock and grunge, with raw guitars, big hooks and an emotional edge. Formed in 2024, the band followed their debut EP No Faces No Names with Let The Sun Rise, a darker and more urgent record built around the same unfiltered energy they bring to their live shows. A Total Loss hit from the punk side of the bill. The Victoria three-piece describe themselves as punk rock and melodic hardcore with a metal tinge, and their recently released First 3 Demos introduce that sound across “Day Stripper,” “Incel in a Cell” and “Hoarder.” It’s three different takes on heavy, guitar-driven music in one room — from the muscular alt-rock of Electric Druids, through the punk/grunge rock & roll of War Eyes, to the melodic hardcore attack of A Total Loss.  Saturday, November 7, The Phoenix Bar,  Doors at 7 PM · Bands at 8 PM.   $20
