This is a yard show so wear layers, bring a blanket to sit on, and a picnic dinner if you like.
Finley Rose (they/them) is a fiddler, singer and banjo player living on the territories of the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ people, colonially known as Victoria BC. Finley’s songwriting draws on the darkness and light of human experience; a soaring vocal line over a resonant violin phrase , a heartfelt song with fingerpicked melodies on banjo - intricate and intimate. Often accompanied by their sibling Dane on acoustic guitar, Finley also delves into traditional folk material - bringing a fresh interpretation of songs from many different places. From the Appalachian mountains, to Quebec, France, Wales and Ireland, they cover wide musical ground with articulate playing. Finn also performs frequently with their Irish trad. band Clanna Morna.
Dayna Pirso is a banjo player, singer and fiddler from Ontario.
Dayna's music career began with busking full time in the subway system of Toronto and on sidewalks across Canada. Bringing an influence of street urchin guerrilla performance, Dayna has been known to weave stories using song, puppetry, clown and poetry. Their music draws upon Eastern European folk traditions, early jazz ballads, and American music from many eras. They continue to work in and with multiple international projects, but they tend to be more of an inside cat these days.
Rebecca Lynn - Rebecca shares her chapters of life through song and music that really captivate the winding road of love and loss. She has a folk, country, soul essence and voice that deeply reaches others through her stories and songs. Rebecca often perfoms around Victoria with her jazz band the Rosebuds.
